CA Foundation Admit Card

The CA Foundation Admit Card is your entry card to the examination hall for CA Foundation Examinations. Every year thousands of candidates aspiring to become Chartered Accountants in India take up the CA Foundation Exam conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI). 

This year, ICAI has scheduled the December CA Foundation Exam on the dates 13th, 15th, 17th & 19th December 2021. The ICAI will release the CA Foundation Admit card about 14 to 21  days before the exam date and host it online on their official website icaiexam.icai.org. No physical admit card will be sent to any candidate.

If you have completed registration for the CA Foundation exams, you should download, print, and carry your CA Foundation 2021 Admit Card to the examination hall to gain entry.

What is a CA Foundation Admit Card?

CA Foundation Admit Card or CA Foundation Hall Ticket is a mandatory document all registered candidates need to carry while appearing for the CA foundation exams. It serves as your identity confirmation document and contains necessary information about the CA foundation exam you’re about to appear for. Without the admit card, you won’t be allowed to take the exam. 

So what info does this vital piece of document hold?

Your CA Foundation Admit Card should have the following details on it:

  • Your name
  • Your photo 
  • Your signature
  • Your registration number
  • Your roll number
  • Your contact address, phone number
  • Exam center
  • Medium opted for the Exam (English/Hindi)

What to do if the details in your admit card differ from those in your application form?

After downloading the CA foundation admit card, make sure you verify your name, registration number, photograph, signature, center, medium, etc., on the card.

In case your admit card doesn’t show your photo and/or signature, don’t worry. It’s still valid. You can take a printout of the admit card, affix your photograph, sign in the marked area, and get the document attested by a Chartered Accountant. You will need to carry the same to the examination center, in duplicate, as proof of your identity.

For any other discrepancy in the CA foundation admit card, report immediately to the ICAI exam office via phone or email, quoting your registration number, barcode number of your examination form, and receipt number issued by the regional office(s).

What to Carry Along with Your CA Foundation Admit Card?

It is necessary to carry a hard copy of your CA Foundation admit card to the examination hall on the day of the exam. Some other essential documents that you must carry along with the admit card are:

  • Government-issued ID card (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, etc)
  • 2 Stamp-size photographs (if your photo is not showing on the admit card)

  • Face Mask (compulsory)
  • Face shield (Optional)
  • Gloves (Optional)
  • Personal transparent water bottle
  • Personal small hand sanitizer   

How to Download CA Foundation Admit Card Nov/Dec 2021

In order to get your CA Foundation Admit Card, you must first complete your CA foundation registration. Once registered, you can download and print your admit card from the official ICAI website. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Visit https://icaiexam.icai.org/
  2. Login using your ID (registration no.) and password. Use the login id and password used for submitting the CA foundation Dec 2021 registration form. 
  3. After successful login, click on the ‘view’ option for Admit Card – Dec 2021 from your dashboard. This will open a new window with a message if your CA admit card is available and “instructions to examinees”.
  4. Verify the details mentioned on your CA Foundation 2021 admit card including name, registration number, photo, exam center, etc.
  5. Next, download or print your ICAI Foundation Course Admit Card. 
  6. Note – you can download the CA foundation admit card only three times. Save the card in PDF format, and you can print it any time.

  • Has the admit card been released for CA Foundation Nov/Dec 2021?

The dates for the release of CA Foundation admit cards for Nov/Dec 2021 cycle haven't been announced yet. The ICAI will release the Admit cards around14 days prior to the exam date. The CA Foundation Nov/Dec 2021 exams are to be held on 13th, 15th, 17th & 19th December 2021. 

  • Is CA Foundation November 2021 postponed?

In order to remove hardships caused to the students due to Covid 19 and otherwise, ICAI has postponed the CA Foundation November 2021 Examination to December 2021. The rescheduled exam dates are 13th, 15th, 17th & 19th December 2021.  

  • Can I download the CA Foundation admit card on my mobile?

Yes, you can download your CA Foundation admit card on your mobile in the same process as discussed above in the section ‘How to Download Admit Card for CA Foundation 2021’. If you choose the desktop view from your browser’s menu to open the ICAI exam website: http://icaiexam.icai.org, the link will open as it does on a PC. However, it’s much easier and hassle-free to download your CA Foundation Admit card using a PC or a laptop. 

  • Should I print my CA Foundation admit card or carry a digital copy?

You must print your CA Foundation admit card after downloading it. You are required to carry a hard copy of the admit card to the examination center.   

  • Can CA admit cards be downloaded multiple times?

You can download your CA foundation admit card only three times. Save the card in PDF format after downloading so you can print it before the exam.
