How to check CA foundation result online
The easiest and most convenient way to search for the result is online. It is fast and can be done from anywhere in the world.
More importantly, the official online sites are your best friend to get the results from. These sites are accessible from mobile too, therefore making them user-friendly for students.
Here is how to do it.
Note: As the date of results for the latest exam is yet to come, the below screenshots will have previous result dates.
This is the official site of ICAI, and it is also the best place to find your result.
Here are some quick steps to get your result on this site.
Step 1:
Visit the site and click on the results button.
You will then get a list of options to select from. As the CA foundation result is what you are looking for, click on it.
On the day of the result, this page will enable you to enter your registration or roll number and get the result.
Another official site of ICAI is to get your CA foundation result. This site is still active and previous students can get their results from this page.
Step 1: To check your foundation result, click the first option.
Step 2: Enter your identity details such as roll number and pin number or registration number.
If you’re wondering what a PIN number is, it is the number you created when filling your exam form. If you do not remember it then you can use your registration number instead.
Step 3: We understand that you are tense but please do enter verification text correctly. It should not take more than a few seconds. So, enter the characters without an error. Or else you will be stuck in a loop.
Once you do these steps you should get the result.
This official site will be live on the day of the result and it follows the same steps as mentioned above. You may get the below message if you are trying to find the January 2021 results.
Ensure you check your results within the stipulated time frame and download them.
Getting Result Through Email
Another way to get your result online is through email.
To do that you have to go to https://icai.exam.org/ on the day of the result.
You will then be able to register with your email id. Once you complete your registration, you will be able to log in and request an email to be sent.
How to Check CA Foundation Result Offline
The only way to get your result offline is through SMS.
Here are the quick steps to do that.
Step 1: Open your SMS/Messages app
Step 2: Enter destination number 58888.
Step 3: Type in CAFND (space) (roll number). Example: CAFND 123456
Step 4: Click send.
You should get the result as an SMS in some time.
By the way, why are we talking about an offline way to get the result?
Because, on the day of the result, it is quite typical where the servers get overloaded, and the sites crash. So, this is a fail-proof way to get your result. Though not instantly.
When are the next CA foundation results due?
As we mentioned before, the upcoming CA foundation exams are scheduled on 13, 15, 17, and 19 of December 2021.
Following the usual process, the ICAI will update the result date on a different day after the exam is completed.
So, you need to be patient as you wait for them to announce the date. Generally, it is within 3 months from the day of the exam; however, due to the existing global pandemic and its resultant effects on businesses, it might vary.
Aggregate to Clear the CA Foundation Test
It is a well-known fact that the minimum aggregate to clear the CA foundation exam is 50%, with a condition that the student should get at least 40% in all four papers.
It is important to remember that every wrong answer gets a deduction of 1/4th of the marks in the objective-type questions.
