Overview
All candidates for the Foundation Examinations must apply online at Self Service Portal (SSP) for the September 2024 Exam and pay the examination fee online.The forms will be based on the eligibility criteria of your course according to the announcements and regulations. These forms will be available on SSP, and you are requested to log in with your credentials (Username: SRN@icai.org and password). The exam forms will be available on SSP from the designated dates announced on www.icai.org.
Students are also requested to use SSP to create a username, register for courses, convert courses, revalidate, and update their photo, signature, and address.
How to Get Your CA Foundation Exam Form?
CA Foundation Exam forms will be available on the official website (https://eservices.icai.org/ ). The candidates have to submit the Exam Form online before the last date.
Candidates planning to appear for the May/June 2024 exams should verify their status on the Self Service Portal (SSP) to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, making the process of filling out exam forms on SSP seamless.
You can fill the CA Foundation Exam form and appear for the exams considering you meet the eligibility criteria as given below:
- You nedd to be registered for the CA foundation course and can appear in the examination after appearing in Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 level) conducted by a recognized National or State Board.
- You need to undergo a minimum of four months study period to appear in the Foundation exam i.e., if you registered on or before 1st September/1st February/ 1st May, you will be eligible to appear in January/June/September examination respectively.

Examination fees can be paid online using VISA, MASTER, or MAESTRO Credit/Debit Cards, Rupay Card, Net Banking, or Bhim UPI.
How to Fill the CA Foundation Exam Form?
CA Foundation form filling is a fully online process. It’s fairly straightforward. You just have to know the steps and have the required documents handy. We’ll talk about the necessary documents in the next section. For now, let’s dive right into the form filling process.
Step 1: If you’re a first time CA Foundation student, create your login account on icaiexam.icai.org by clicking on “New User register Here”. For existing accounts, you just have to log in.
Step 2: After successfully logging in, click on “Apply Now”.
Step 3: Select CA Foundation from the examination option and fill in the required details in the exam application form with your personal and educational details and also upload the declaration form
Step 4: Click on “save” and proceed to verify the details in the next page.
Step 5: Pay the CA Foundation Exam application fee using a payment mode of your choice.
Step 6: After submitting the completed form, your CA Foundation Application Form in PDF format will be generated.
You should save a copy of the PDF file and that’s all for the CA Foundation form filling process.
No photo - No signature ??
Candidates whose photograph and signature are not visible or are not being accepted to be printed on marksheets are required to change the photograph and signature on the Self Service Portal before filling up the exam form.
Photo Requirements:
- The photo should be colored or black/white with 80% face visible (without a face mask), including ears, against a white background.
- Must have a clear image contrast.
- No goggles or caps or any headwear must be worn, however, spectacles are allowed.
- Straight-looking relaxed face.
- Ensure no "red-eye" if flash is used.
- No selfies allowed.
- The photograph be scanned as jpg/jpeg having size 20-50 KB.
- The scanned Photo should be well cropped so that there are no extra/white spaces and the image is stored as jpg/jpeg.
- Take care that the photo as described above fits in the size 4.5 cm by 3.5cm.
Signature Requirements:
- Signature must be done on a white sheet with a black pen.
- Image size must be between 10-20 KB (clearly visible).
- No extra/white spaces should be visible, the scanned signature should be well cropped and the image must be stored as jpg/jpeg.
- The signature as described above must fit in the size 6 cm by 2cm.
