Introduction

The CA Inter admit card is your passport to the CA intermediate exams. It’s also one of those things that CA students stress about a lot.

Students who are about to appear for CA inter exams often have their minds filled with questions like —

How to get the admit card?

What are the important details to check in the CA inter admit card?

What if there are any errors in the admit card?

If that sounds familiar to you, it’s time to put your worries to rest. Not only will this guide address those questions and more, but also walk you through everything you’d want to know about the CA Inter admit card.

What is a CA Admit Card?

CA inter admit card is a mandatory document all registered candidates need in order to sit for the CA intermediate exams. It is also referred to as the CA inter hall ticket.

Like all other exams, the admit card for CA inter exams serves as a confirmation of your identity and contains vital exam related information. When it comes to the final day of the examination, your CA inter admit card is one of the most important, if not the most important, documents you must have.

CA Inter Admit Card Details: What is Mentioned On It

Your CA inter admit card should have the following details on it.

  • Your name
  • Your registration number
  • Your contact details like mobile no. and email ID
  • Your address, DOB, and gender
  • Exam day info like timing, exam center, and which exam you're taking (CA Inter, Foundation, or Final)
  • Your photo and signature, if you’ve submitted both during application.

What if your admit card doesn't show your photo and/or signature?

No need to panic. It’s still perfectly valid as long as other details are correct. You just need to take a printout of your admit card, affix your photo and signature in the marked area, and get the document attested by a member of the institute.

Make sure to check the information on your admit card thoroughly in advance and if you spot any discrepancy, report the same to the ICAI exam office without any delay.

You can write to ICAI’s official email ID for CA intermediate candidates: Intermediate_examhelpline@icai.in

Checklist of Items to Carry Along with Your CA Inter Admit Card

You need to have a hard copy of your CA Inter admit card with you on the day of the exam, otherwise, you won’t be allowed in. But there are some other essential items too that you must carry along with your admit card. Here’s a checklist of items to be carried inside the exam hall:

  • Mask on the face (compulsory)
  • Face shield (Optional)
  • Gloves (Optional)
  • Personal transparent water bottle
  • Personal small hand sanitizer
  • Exam related items/documents as instructed (Calculators, stationery items)
  • Valid Photo ID proof
  • Two stamp size photographs if you are appearing for a unit/both groups.

You also need to carry one additional stamp size photograph if your CA Inter admit card doesn’t have your photo on it. In that case, make sure the photo matches the one you have affixed on the attested printout of the admit card.

Special requirement due to COVID-19:

For students under 18 years, ICAI has mandated a self-declaration document to be attached with their CA Inter admit card. It is meant for students to confirm that they would follow all the guidelines issued by the authorities and also, that they have the consent and permission of their parents/guardians to appear in the exams. This document should be filled and self-attested by the candidate.
