CA Inter results - everything you need to know

The CA inter result date is usually announced two months after the exams are over. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exams and results for the year 2021 have both been delayed.

In a normal year the results are announced for the Dec attempt in Second week of Jan and for May attempt they are announced in second week of July 

• Simply log onto any of the websites mentioned above. 
• Input your ICAI roll number and PIN. 
• Click “submit” to get your result.

To get your results via email, you will have to first register with your roll number and name on the ICAI portal. Without registering on the portal, you will not get your results through email. 

To get results via SMS, you have to send the required SMS to 57575. The SMS to be sent will be notified by ICAI on the website when the results dates are announced.

When are CA inter results announced? 

CA inter results are usually announced within two months of the culmination of the exams. The exams are held in May and November of every year, so you can expect the results to be out in Jan and July respectively. 

How can I check my CA inter result through SMS? 

You can get the results sent to you via SMS. The ICAI will issue a notice regarding what SMS you need to type and send to which number to register for this service. For example, for the Jan 2021 results, candidates were asked to send an SMS with “CAIPCOLD (space) *roll number*” and “CAIPCNEW (space) *roll number*” respectively for the old and new syllabi, to the number 57575. 

How can I check my CA intermediate result? 

You can check your results on any of the three ICAI results websites: http://icaiexam.icai.org, http://icai.nic.in, http://caresults.icai.org. You can also get your results sent to your email or via SMS. 

Can I apply for CA inter result revaluation or rechecking? 

ICAI does not allow paper revaluation. However, you can get your marks verified for totaling errors in case you are not satisfied with your results. 

How can I apply for CA inter result marks verification? 

Follow these steps to apply for marks verification: 

• Click on the link given for marks verification. https://icaiexam.icai.org/
• Log in using your ICAI credentials. 
• Choose the option for your corresponding exam result marks verification. 
• Write an application by hand and upload a scanned copy of it containing details related to your name, registration number, exam month and year, your address, and the subjects you want to be verified. 
• Download and sign the application form. 
• Scan and upload the verification application. 
• Pay the marks verification fee of Rs.100 per paper or Rs.400 per group. 

The verification process will take about one or two months. You can log into your ICAI account to check the results of your application.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has now implemented the Supreme Court's landmark judgment in the case of ICSI Vs. Paras Jain, Civil Appeal No. 5665/2014, relating to providing copies of Answer-Scripts under RTI.
